After doing a 50% water change yesterday, I noticed hundreds of white moving dots on my aquarium glass. They move in random directions, but definitely not debris because it seems like they're organisms. They're also microscopically tiny, smaller than a millimeter. I would take a picture, but they're too small to pick up in the lenses.

It may be a sign of low oxygen levels as they live in the substrate, and adding an air stone would help, or increasing your surface agitation. They won’t harm any fish or shrimp and are part of the ecosystem.
